Verde Independent to offer Washington Post digital content free to subscribers
The Verde Independent and Camp Verde Bugle are two of more than 100 newspapers to partner with The Washington Post to offer added value to its subscribers.
A partner program, announced earlier this year, will allow the Independent/Bugle to offer The Washington Post's online products free to paid subscribers, who will be able to access The Post's content across desktop, mobile websites and phone and tablet apps.
"Signing on over 100 partners is a testament to the strength of this idea, and we've been encouraged by the response from other newspapers," said Steve Hills, president and general manager of The Washington Post. "We're excited to keep growing throughout the country, in addition to expanding to publishers outside of the U.S."
Other newspapers participating in the program include the Denver Post, the Los Angeles Daily News and the Salt Lake City Tribune.
"We're excited to offer this benefit to our newspaper subscribers," said Verde Valley Newspapers Publisher Pam Miller. "It's a great addition for anyone who enjoys reading both local and national news."
