Love is not just "a second-hand emotion," if you recall the line from Tina Turner's song.

Some of us LOVE to eat, some of us LOVE to cook for others, and now, The Little Organic Vegetarian Eatery or The Love Cafe in Tequa Plaza wants to provide us with LOVE-ly food.

Hot, cold, non-GMO, non-irradiated, locally sourced, organic vegan soups, salads, wraps , pasta, juices, smoothies, Peruvian-sourced coffee, cacao mochas, appetizers and desserts.

Carry out and free delivery in the VOC is planned. Even though some of us have been dropping by during their soft-opening, Tyler Ayers and Dina (Aldina) Zullo invite you to their grand opening days, Feb. 14, 15 and 16.

The full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available then, along with courtyard music and other activities. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Tyler and Aldina (Dina) Hale from Connecticut and have been Sedona residents for the past 8 years. Over this time the two have developed and perfected their recipes to reflect their commitment to making a difference in people's lives.

Both have been inspired by their mentors, Tyler his mother and Dina her namesake grandmother, who always cooked wholesome food for their respective families.

On The Love Café's menu will be Tyler's amazing marinara, vegan Marsala sauce, healing salad dressings, creamy vegan soups and other specialties.

Dina's introducing her body care line "Integrity Organics" created from 100-percent organic, raw, cold pressed ingredients, presented in beautifully colored glass jars and labeled using flower seed paper that you can plant!

We really appreciate the business venture that these two are taking. Tequa Plaza, with its dramatic Southwestern architecture, lovely courtyard and adequate parking is sadly underused. We've only tried the hot celery soup, mocha and baked goods (after hard games of tennis, folks) and look forward to having more of the menu items.

Tyler and Dina invite artists, crafters and musicians to be a part of their grand opening as the courtyard is at their disposal. Stop in at 7000 SR 179 or call 928-284-2248. Check out the website for much more information

You gotta love The Love, right? . Happy Valentines, Readers.

Bites and Sips:

• David and Joanne Barron say we've got to dine at Tea Light Café, serving Vietnames Cuisine in Hillside shops. We stopped in to get the menu, as we have come to enjoy Pho (pronounced "fa") when we are in Hawaii. A few tables inside and out; folks ordering take-out; got to make it a date! and lots of carry out . 928-282-0087

• Mongos Bar and Grill in Tequa Plaza has new owners. We talked with manager, Amy Brown, a person with extensive restaurant experience in Sedona. Some nice additions to the menu-hamburgers and chicken wings. Some nice changes to pricing during the day-from 11-4, the Mongolian Noodle Bowl is $9.95. And there will be $3-off coupons in the local advertising. 928-284-2888

• The Tuesday Family Night at The Juniper Bar & Grille at The Sedona Golf Resort has sadly been discontinued, due to management decisions. We apologize to our readers who showed up only to be disappointed. Perhaps another effort of this kind will be offered in the future. Continue to check out the Thursday buffet, which we have found to be consistently good. 928-284-2093
