City of Cottonwood expands free spaying neutering offer for the Verde Valley

Starting July 1, the City of Cottonwood Ordinance Enforcement team will be partnering with the Verde Valley Veterinary Hospital, Montezuma Animal Hospital, and Cornville Pet Clinic to provide free spay/neuter services.

This spay/neuter program is for low-income families who reside in Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Cornville, Bridgeport, and the Verde Villages. Assistance for this program is funded by the Arizona "pet friendly" license plates to help reduce pet overpopulation and battle pet homelessness. Assistance is on a first-come first-serve basis. If you are in need of financial assistance with spay/neuter costs, please come to the Cottonwood Police Department, 199 S. Sixth St., to fill out an application. For more information in regard to the program please contact Ordinance Enforcement Officer Autumn Durnez at (928) 634-4246 ext. 210.
