John Rodger will debut his art gallery showing at Main Stage on Friday, May 2.

Main Stage music venue promises to deliver another high-energy, eclectic weekend of art and entertainment this weekend.

Friday, May 2, sees another installment of Main Stage's monthly First Fridays Art Walk.  The event is the music venue's monthly exposition of their tagline "Music.  Art.  Community."  Each month the venue brings out arts and crafts vendors, an art gallery opening featuring a variety of local artists, a dance party and some of the nation's best live music.

Vinyl Station will return to Main Stage for the event to follow-up on their electric performance at March's SxSMain St Festival.  Vinyl Station is a Phoenix-based duo composed of Matthew Thornton and Brendon Cottrell.  The pair boasts of meeting "after getting accidentally booked for the same gig and ended up playing on each others sets because they liked most of the same music."  The band is notorious for playing several hundred shows a year and recently released first full length album, "The Evening Sin."  Local DJ ill.Ego will follow-up the band with his monthly First Firdays dance party.  The evening will also feature a new gallery opening with local artists John Rodger and Stephanie Phelps.  The event is free and begins at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, May 3, Sedona based decker. will put on their monthly residency show at Main Stage.  This month's event is "Cinco de Mayo (on Tres de Mayo)" and, in addition to decker., will feature Tucson based act Tesoro.  Tesoro is self-described "Latin Gypsy Pop" and they have been steadily gaining momentum for the last several years since their 2012 debut album release.  Decker will be arriving home from an extensive set of midwest tour dates on the cusp of connecting with Tucson area recording studio Wavelab (Calexico, KT Tunstall, Neko Case) to record their 5th album Patsy set for release later this summer.  The show is $5 and begins at 9:30 p.m.

Main Stage is located at 1 S. Main St. in Cottonwood. All events are free to the public unless otherwise indicated.  For more information please call (928)202-3460 or visit www.mainstagetheater.com.
