Sedona Giclée Gallery features art works by Doug Andrews

Nationally renowned artist Doug Andrews has made Sedona his home for well over three decades. During that time, his elegant paintings and photographs of iconic Arizona scenes have remained popular among collectors from around the world.

He would argue that his works, more than anything else, are expressions of the strong bond he feels for the territory that has become his home. "These are subjects that touch my soul," he notes.

"All my pieces are memories, a momentary glimpse into my life and what makes me whole."

Andrews' works are now on display at Sedona Giclée Gallery, in West Sedona's Harkins Theater Plaza. "We're proud to be able to bring a wonderful selection of Doug's works to our audience," notes gallery owner Justin Whittaker. The works will be available as giclée reproductions on canvas as well as prints on photographic papers in glossy, matte, aluminum, and other surfaces.

A native of Pennsylvania and a descendant of original pioneers, Andrews was raised hiking and camping in the Allegheny Mountains. He thus has a deep, lifelong love of the outdoors. It was no surprise, then, when natural scenes became his favored subjects as he developed his artistic talents at a very young age.

He received a degree in Fine Art and Art Education from Edenboro University, and immediately embarked on a teaching career. In parallel, he also displayed his art work in one man shows across the country. The enthusiastic response he received from those shows inspired him to further his studies in painting and take it up full time.

After studying for his Master's degree at Arizona State University, Andrews moved to Sedona to be closer to some of his favorite subjects. Over the years since, his reputation has continued to grow. His photographs and oil and watercolor paintings are widely acclaimed for their luxuriant colors and for his attention to fine detail.

.Sedona Giclée Gallery is located at 2055 W. State Route 89A, Suite B, near the Harkins Theaters, and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
