Thunder Valley Rally roars into Cottonwood this week
COTTONWOOD -- Rolling in from every direction this weekend will be bikers ready to kick back at biggest ever Thunder Valley Rally Friday and Saturday and Sunday morning.
Gathering in Old Town Cottonwood will be an estimated 700 or more motorcyclists ready to party, see custom bikes and new equipment.
Someone will win a $17,000 Harley Davidson motorcycle. There will be plenty of music, a bike show, the crowning of Ms. Thunder Valley Rally, vendors everywhere and much more.
There will be scenic rides, including the Habanero /Agave Ride each of the first two days from Harley Davidson of Scottsdale to Old Town Cottonwood. The main TVR Poker Run sees kickstands up at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Those under 21 can play "free poker."
Men can join in too, but the High Heels and Shifters Ride Sunday morning is all about the women.
The ride takes off from Cottonwood through wine country with a stop at the Copper Star Shooting Range.
Music is big this year and will played on three stages in Old Town. The North Stage is located next to the Old Town Jail at the north end of Main Street. The South Stage is located next to the Tavern Parking lot. The Main Stage is at the Old Town Activity Park behind Cottonwood City Hall .
Everyone will want to see the hard pounding Southern Country-Rock act Whisky Myers Friday night.
Loud and Proud Rebel music, Whisky Myers from Tyler, Texas comes to Old Town directly from Nashville.
See all five finalists in the Ms. TVR contest on the South Stage at 2 p.m. Friday. The winner will be named at 9 p.m. Friday night.
The winners of the TVR Poker Run and the Bike Show winner will be announced Saturday night at 8 p.m. from the Main Stage.
