P.A.N.T. takes down marijuana growing operation
PRESCOTT VALLEY - Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT,) joined the Prescott Valley Police detectives to serve a search warrant on Leigh Drive in Prescott Valley. Officers had a previous tip about illicit drug activity following an unrelated criminal investigation that provided justification for the warrant.
Inside the 3-bedroom home, detectives found two bedrooms converted strictly for the use of growing marijuana plants, an indoor grow operation. Detectives seized 45-plants in various stages of maturity, a vast array of drug related paraphernalia, growing equipment and supplies, and two shotguns.
The home was occupied by 36-year-old Lee Mahoney, 29-year-old Christine Cronin, and 23-year-old Mercedes Clark.
Mahoney and Cronin were arrested and charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of a weapon during a drug offense. Both were booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center and each has since been released on a $4000 bond. Clark was charged with felony possession of marijuana, booked at the same jail and has been released on a $1000 bond.
