Main Stage opens new Backstage Gastropub
COTTONWOOD -- Verde Valley music venue Main Stage is set to become more than a music venue and nightclub with the opening of their very own restaurant "Backstage Gastropub."
Friday, April 3, will be more than simply the usual First Fridays Art Walk at Main Stage - it will also be the grand opening celebration of the new restaurant.
The music venue has partnered with renowned chef Bryan Nowicki to add the element of food and enhance the Main Stage experience.
"We are excited to bring in yet another element to the venue and to once again bring something new and innovative to the community," said Main Stage owner Rebecca Riffel.
In the last two years, Main Stage has grown into a hub for music, art and community in the Verde Valley. Showcasing hundreds of bands of all genres of music from all over the world as well as hosting local artists showcasing artwork of all mediums and much more the venue has strived to become a great asset to the community.
They partner with Nowicki who brings 33 years culinary and restaurant experience, ranging from upscale bar restaurant concepts to 4 star Thomas Keller fine dining. Known for Chef Bryan's Bistro and Le Jardin Prescott, as well as being executive chef at Page Springs Cellars, Bryan is excited for the new endeavor.
"The inspiration behind Backstage Gastropub is bringing the cumulation of my experience and skills while producing food that is prepared with the utmost attention to detail so we can serve a quality product at a lower price point to our customers," says the chef.
He adds, "We believe quality cuisine can be served in a casual setting where people can enjoy the local entertainment brought to you by Main Stage, while eating food that helps create a happy experience."
The menu will include house ground sausage, handcrafted brick oven pizzas and a host of other upscale bar fare at a modest price.
The evening will be accompanied by musical entertainment by national rock reggae act Fayuca as well as local favorites DJ ill.Ego and DL Harrison.
The venue will stay open later, until 11 p.m. on weeknights, another first for many restaurants in the area and promises to stay open later on bigger events.
Main Stage is located at 1 S Main St in Cottonwood and is open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and all events are free to the public unless otherwise noted.
