Pianist and composer Ioannis (Yanni) Goudelis has performed internationally at festivals, clubs and concert halls throughout the world, including the United States, Europe, Africa, Central America and the Pacific.

Born and raised in Greece, Ioannis - called "Yanni" by those who know him - started playing piano and accordion at the age of 9 in his hometown, the beautiful island of Corfu, with its gorgeous array of Byzantine churches inhabiting the landscape throughout the area.

Goudelis has performed, recorded, opened up concerts and toured with internationally known artists including Stevie Wonder, Dierks Bentley, Ray Price, Mike Stern, Stanley Jordan, Greek artists Pantelis Thalassinos and Alexia Vassiliou, among others.

Yanni's original music has appeared on Fox (House), NBC (NCIS) and HBO shows. In 2011, he scored the feature film "The Church Office" directed by Nancy Bellany.

He has also composed original music for CBS Radio shows, short films and the FIAT commercial for California, and in September 2012 also performed on Jimmy Kimmel "Live" with Miss Willie Brown.

Goudelis has two CDs, "Life Goes On" released in 2007 and his recent 2013 release "Melodia" - both of which will be available for purchase at the concert.

Yanni's YouTube channel includes innumerable videos and original compositions, and is found at www.youtube.com/user/ioannisgoudelis

Double bassist Chris Finet - a consistent performing artist and musical "fixture" at Sedona Jazz at the Church concerts - joined the faculty of Northern Arizona University's School of Music in the fall of 2012. He teaches double bass, along with directing the jazz ensembles and teaching jazz improvisation courses.

Originally from the Phoenix area, Chris also attended NAU as an undergraduate student, studying under late professor, Joel DiBartolo.

In Arizona, Chris has worked with many of the state's great jazz artists including Chuck Mahronic, Fred Forney, Dom Moio, and others, along with holding a position in the Flagstaff Symphony.

Finet has performed with jazz greats beyond Arizona and the Southwest, including Doc Severinsen, Roy Hargrove, Dave Douglas, Dave Liebman, Benito Gonzales, Dave Gruisin, John Tchicai, Flora Purim, Jimmy Cobb, and many others.

Chris has also played at many notable concert venues, including the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, the Blue Note, the Jazz Standard, and the Telluride Jazz Festival.

Sunday's gathering is the fourth of thirteen concerts for Sedona Jazz at the Church (SJATC) for 2015, with the next concert taking place on May 3, with the Dom Moio Latin Jazz Quartet, performing during the Cinco de Mayo (Moio) weekend celebrations in Sedona.

Tickets for Sunday's concert are $13, and are available online and also "at the door."

Tickets bought online will be held at the church at "Will Call," and entitles the bearer to be admitted before tickets are sold at the door on the day of the concert.

The public is encouraged to come early, as a full house is expected. Doors will open for season ticket holders at 2:20 pm and "Will Call" folk at 2:30 pm. "At the door" ticket sales begin at 2:40pm, and the concert begins at 3pm.

Saint Luke's Church is the home of SJATC, and is located in the Chapel area of Sedona, on Highway 179 between the Back O' Beyond and Chapel Road roundabouts.
