Adalia Tara returns to Living Room Music Series
The Center for Positive Living Sedona, 45 Castle Rock Road in the Village of Oak Creek, opens a new season of concerts with singer-songwriter-musician Adalia Tara.
Tara's style is distinct and versatile, from resonating, deep, bluesy lows to sweet, ethereal highs, her voice commands the space. Her evocative lyrics are at the center of her soulful sound, offering insight into her personal truths and aspirations.
She hopes to bring benefit to others, to inspire, to encourage positive change, and to convey messages of hope and compassion. Music is her heart and offering. It's how she gives back. For Adalia Tara, it is a part of her spiritual path that is ever unfolding.
Tara grew up outside of Washington, DC, in Rockville, Md. As a child she always enjoyed singing, but not until she moved with her family to Sedona when she was 12 years old did her passion for music really start to blossom.
At 14, she started writing and recording her own original music, focusing on the message and intention behind her words. In 2005, she won the Sedona Centerpolooza award for Best Singer-Songwriter
Founder of the In the Living Room music series, Shondra Jepperson, remarked, "Both times Adalia has been in concert In the Living Room, it was packed. She is one of the most popular single artists in Sedona and the Verde Valley so I suggest that people attending get there at 6:30 p.m. when we open the door so they can get a seat."
Jepperson continued, "Adalia is an absolutely fantastic singer songwriter with a big heart. Whether you're a current fan or haven't had the pleasure of hearing her, you'll really get to know this artist behind her music in this intimate setting."
CPL Sedona's seating is limited to 40 comfortable chairs, with a stage platform and excellent sound system. These concerts are allowing for an intimate, up close and personal showcase with some of the finest performing artists in Sedona and the Verde Valley every Wednesday from 7-8:15 p.m.
Unlike other music venues in Sedona, audience members have the opportunity to learn about the artists by asking questions of them during their concert.
Every Wednesday, the doors open at 6:30 p.m. for tea and coffee with the concerts starting promptly at 7.
Admission is $10 cash only and because seating is limited it is highly recommended to arrive early since tickets are available only at the door the night of the concerts.
