Burglar steals guns, gold, Rolex in Cornville burglary
CORNVILLE - A homeowner who was out of town for two weeks returned to his home only to find that thieves had broken in and stolen 13 guns, many of which were antiques, as well as gold coins, tools and jewelry worth thousands of dollars.
Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said the suspects forced their way into the house on Casero Drive by breaking out glass in the front door to open it.
The homeowner arrived just after midnight on Nov. 28 and discovered the missing items.
Among the items taken: rifles, shotguns, pistols, 10 gold coins, 200 "American Eagle" coins, hand- and power-tools, and a $10,000 Rolex wristwatch.
D'Evelyn said YCSO detectives would like to speak with anyone who has information regarding possible suspects or the whereabouts of the stolen property.
