Allan Marx wins Heart of the Community award
Allan Marx of Cottonwood recently was installed to the Moose International Heart of the Community Committee in Nashville. The conference was held July 2-7. Allan has been involved in his Cottonwood Community for many years. He is "Tommy Moose" in the local Christmas Parade, greeting kids along the parade route and adopting 50-plus families for Christmas over the past 9 years through the Verde Valley Moose Lodge. He helped get the Verde Valley Teen Center open through the Verde Valley Moose Lodge and is serving as President of the Board of Officers for the Teen Center. Visiting sick kids at the Phoenix Children's Hospital delivering Tommy Moose dolls, coloring books and crayons. Allan put together a dinner honoring local first responders last year. The local police departments, fire departments and ambulance crews were invited and honored. So, it is fitting that Allan would be appointed to this committee. It certainly is an honor. Allan thanks the many supporters from his brothers in the Verde Valley Lodge and Co-Workers from the Chapter along with many community members for helping to make this possible.
