SVBA thanks Pugliano for service as past president
For two years, Tony Pugliano provided outstanding leadership as president of the Sedona Village Business Association (SVBA).
Although SVBA has a history of more than 17 years, there were several years when it was completely inactive. Beginning in 2013, with the cooperation of at least a half-dozen local businesses, SVBA was reactivated. Today, we have over 40 members, a board of directors and officers who are committed to fulfilling the mission of SVBA in our community.
We have three major projects in process and others are being defined and developed.
The three already defined projects are:
Verde Lynx bus service extended to Sedona Village. Current bus service ends at Poco Diablo.
Holiday lights in the Village during December and January
Updating membership and creating a brochure and map for businesses and visitors in the Village.
Our greatest need, currently, is for volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved with helping to implement the projects in process. It is good to have "great ideas." The critical challenge is in "making things happen" that make a difference in the quality of life and business in our community.
At our monthly meeting on July 15, we made significant progress in securing some of the volunteers required to turn our plans for 2015 into realities. However, we still need members of our business community to step up and make the commitment necessary to get the job done.
Please give me a call at 928-203-6262 if you or are ready and willing to get involved -- even if it's only regarding one project -- or you would like to discuss the possibilities.
We know the Village needs an effective voice for the business community, and we believe SVBA can provide both the voice needed and then deliver on the actions required.
For more info, visit SedonaVillageBusinessAssociation.com or call me directly. We are here to do whatever it takes to demonstrate that "SVBA means business."
