'It's a Taqueria ... Not a Restaurant'
Bill Murray cooks up tacos at the Taqueria El Gallo Rojo in Old Town Cottonwood. Murray opened his taco shop on April 11. It is open 5-9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The concept is the same as a street taco stand, with tacos, bottled sodas and margaritas. "A very traditional Northern Mexican street taco stand," Murray says. "No cheese, no sour cream, no lettuce, just a simple concept. A whole different concept. It's a Taqueria, a taco stand. Not a restaurant." Taqueria El Gallo Rojo serves carne asada, pollo asado and carnitas. Outdoor and indoor seating available for patrons. Taqueria El Gallo Rojo is located at 901 N. Main St. in Cottonwood. Cash only.
