Obituary: Robert E. Wyman Sr. 1927 - 2015
Robert E. Wyman Sr. "Bob" passed away at home, March 12, 2015, one day short of his 88th birthday, March 13. He was born in 1927 to parents George & Margaret Wyman in Elgin, Illinois.
He lived in Dundee, IL his first 6 years, then moved to Santa Monica, CA. Bob joined the Navy March 13, 1945 at the age of 18 & was honorably discharged in 1946. He then worked for Douglas Aircraft as an electrician, wiring the DC-6 aircraft.
In 1947 he leased Wilshire Oil Co. on Ocean Park Blvd in Santa Monica. He married his first wife Marcella in 1948 & had 3 children; Dian (Becky), Bob Jr. and Julie Kono (Randy).
After that marriage ended, he married Dolores Lane May 16, 1998 with three grown children; Janice Eakin (Steve), Rusty Lane (Eve) and Deanne Peri (Larry). After retirement, from owning his own automotive speed shop in Orange County, he moved to Lake Montezuma, AZ in 2003.
His interests were Lionel trains, boating in Lake Powell, shooting, photography, fishing, bowling, carpentry and watching old movies. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was a faithful member at the Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Rimrock, AZ. Bob's parents & 2 sisters Betty & Jean, preceded him in death. Bob is survived by his wife Dolores, all 6 children, with their children, and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Monday, March 30 at 2 PM.
