Letter: Library thanks attorneys for free consultations

Editor:

The Cottonwood Public Library hosted "Law Day 2015" on Wednesday, April 29. Thanks to Community Legal Services from Prescott, 59 citizens came to the library and received a free consultation with a licensed attorney regarding various legal matters. The library partnered with CLS for this event.

The attorneys who gave freely of their time include David Gordon, Michael Gordon, Shiloh Hoggard, Lonnie McDowell, Lindsay O'Dell, Joe Waesche, and Linda Wallace. Sherie Timlick of Community Legal Services orchestrated the event, recruiting attorneys and signing up and managing appointments.

Community Legal Services, Inc., a not-for-profit Arizona law firm incorporated in 1952, provides high-quality legal advice, assistance and/or direct representation in certain civil matters to indigent and low-income individuals and families residing in CLS service areas.

The library would like to thank Community Legal Services and those generous attorneys for reaching out to the citizens of the Verde Valley and making "Law Day 2015" a success.
