Woman drives through fence in Verde Village
VERDE VILLAGE -- A one-vehicle accident on Grand View Drive Monday at about 9:30 a.m. caused damage to a car and property fence. A woman, the driver and only occupant, was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
Apparently the driver went off the right side of Grand View Drive and then through the fence in front of a residence. The vehicle took out part of the gate and several feet of chain link fencing before striking a wall in the front yard of the residence.
Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said the driver claimed she had an equipment issue with her steering that may have caused the crash.
D'Evelyn says an investigation is continuing.
