Obituary: Carol Jean Allen Howell

Carol Jean Allen Howell of Cottonwood, AZ, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Flagstaff Medical Center, attended by family and friends. 

Carolyn was born on March 16, 1932 in Harrah, Oklahoma to J. Lester & Joyce M. Allen, the youngest of three children.  She married Charles O. Howell Jr. on August 16, 1948.  They raised two sons, Mike & Richard, and she was Charlie's life time partner in all their endeavors. 

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles O. Howell of Cottonwood, son Mike (Linda) Howell of Flagstaff, three grandsons Jimmy (April) Howell of Tucson, Brice (Michelle) Howell of Safford and Matt (Sarah) Howell of Flagstaff. 

Carolyn was great grandmother to six great granddaughters: Baylea, Rielea, Charlea, Kielea, Lacey & Emery. 

She was preceded in death by son Richard A. Howell, father J. Lester Allen, mother Joyce M. Allen, brother James Lester Allen Jr. and sister Helen R. Phillips. 

There will be grave side services at the Winslow Cemetery on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Wayne Cox officiating. 

There will be a reception afterwards at the home of Lucio (Pat) Ceballos, 401 Prairie Ave., Winslow.
