If you are in business in Sedona Village (Village of Oak Creek) and are not a member of the Sedona Village Business Association, you may be missing out on one of the most important resources for marketing your products and/or services.

You also are depriving yourself of meaningful communication and relationships with other business owners and managers.

We are currently putting the final copy together for a brochure and map of our Village business community.

There is still time to join the Sedona Village Business Association (SVBA) and be included in the brochure listing with your map location.

The annual membership fee for SVBA is $120, and you can sign up online by going to www.sedonavillagebusinessassociation.com and using either PayPal or a major credit card.

There are many ways to benefit from participation in SVBA. We are the only business organization in the Village dedicated to the primary goal of promoting local business growth by providing support, resources and networking opportunities.

Together, we create marketing and advertising opportunities that are both cost effective and more productive in terms of results. Our website and the new brochure/map are examples of collaborative projects sponsored by an active membership-based business organization.

Holiday lights

This year, we will underwrite an expanded Holiday Lighting Project during the months of November, December and January, calling to the attention of our many tourists who travel through the Village that this is a place to stop, visit, shop, dine, hike, bike, relax and "re-create" yourself.

Our message to everyone who lives or visits here is that Sedona Village is authentic, unusual, vibrant, viable, warm and friendly.

Other projects on the table include Verde Lynx bus service extended to the Village and alternative transportation routes for traveling from West Sedona to Sedona Village (VOC) and vice versa.

We are a dynamic organization that "means business." If you are not already a member of SVBA, visit our website and seriously consider joining today.

Our monthly board meetings are always open to members and guests.

The next meeting is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock, 90 Ridge Trail Drive.
