The Mingus Swim & Dive team got into their winning ways Tuesday evening when they traveled to Coolidge for their second meet of the season. Mingus squared off with Gilbert Christian Prep and Coolidge. Mingus would beat Gilbert Christian Prep 42-21, and would take the victory from the home town team 43-13.

Sean Williams and Gunner Tillemans impressed again for the Marauders. Williams took home the 50m and 100m freestyle races for the second time in two meets. Tillemans would follow up his success from the Marauders first meet winning the 200m and 500m freestyle for the second straight meet. Fletch Fangman won the 200 IM and 100m breaststroke, and Freshmen Dallin Gordon would come in third in the 100m breaststroke behind his teammate. David Briggs would also bring home the 100m fly for the Marauders.

The Girls had success as well in Coolidge as Christine Wills was able to bring home the 200 IM. Head Coach Gretchen Wesbrock said swimmers Emily Dorris and Rylie Burke also turned in great swims as well. Dorris competed in the 50m and 100m backstroke and Burke competed in the 50m and 100m freestyle.

The Marauders will face off in a double dual with Sedona and Northland Prep Academy on September 15 before heading to Chandler on September 19 for the first qualifying meet of the season.
