Montezuma Well, Tuzigoot monuments fee free on MLK Day
All National Parks are fee free on Monday, Jan. 18 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr Day.
The public is encouraged to treat the holiday as "A Day On, Not A Day Off." The National Park Service will host Day of Service activities from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Montezuma Well and Tuzigoot national monuments.
Volunteers are needed at Montezuma Well to make seed balls for planting later in the season. Montezuma Well staff is also looking for people to help clean out the lower ditch in the picnic area.
Volunteers are needed at Tuzigoot National Monument to pull invasive grasses along the sidewalks and to remove an irrigation line.
Participants are encouraged to bring water, a hat and gloves.
Said King, Jr., "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'"
