Argument at RV Park sends 80-year-old man to hospital

COTTONWOOD – Cottonwood Police Department received a call Sunday around 8:30 p.m. regarding an assault at an Old Town RV Park that sent an elderly man to the hospital for numerous facial injuries.

The 80-year-old RV park owner and resident was pulled from his doorway by an assailant who reportedly struck him at least 10 times, according to Detective Sgt. Tod Moore.

The man was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center by ambulance after the incident, said Sgt. Moore.

The assault reportedly happened after an argument over skunks on the property in the 600 block of North Main Street.

Due to the ongoing investigation, further information about the incident, the man’s condition, and suspect is not yet available.
