Sedona Gallery Association: Enjoy 1st Friday in the Galleries
Sedona's finest art galleries invite you to enjoy a special evening of openings, special guests, artist receptions and celebrations at their monthly 1st Friday in the Galleries Tour Oct. 7 from 5 - 8 p.m.
October is a special month - with multiple galleries celebration significant anniversaries and other occasions.
All guests are welcome to attend free of charge and ride the Sedona Trolley, which does continuous loops to the Gallery Row & Uptown locations. West Sedona locations, Goldenstein Gallery and Greg Lawson's Passion for Place, are not served by the Trolley.
Highlights of this month's events include:
ALT Gallery welcomes the Fall with the walls full of new arrivals. Great artwork, hundreds of rare and out of print art books, plus vintage vinyl records await. Join us for Northern Arizona's finest collection of secondary market art, books, records and collectibles.
Andrea Smith Gallery presents Sedona artist, Gala Kraftsow who trained under world-renowned artists and sculptors, mastering many art mediums. In her Mosaic Collection, Gala incorporates gems, pearls, beads, stones, shells and other objects collected on her global travels to create magnificent art.
Goldenstein Gallery in West Sedona kicks off their 15th Anniversary celebration with their highly anticipated show The 13th Annual Cowboys and Indians Show. Showcasing internationally renowned contemporary Native American and Western Artists, it is deeply rooted in tradition yet flourishes with new innovative styles that capture the imaginations of today.
Gallery of Modern Masters showcases renowned local jeweler, Michael Redhawk has been crafting jewelry for over 35 years using rare stones and gems from around the globe. Winner of numerous awards, each piece uniquely captures the essence of Sedona. There will be an artist's presentation at 6:30 p.m.
Greg Lawson Galleries in West Sedona Sights and sounds of autumn fill the senses like music in the air and Greg Lawson Galleries' annual OctoberpPHest will focus on the season's splendor. In all the world North American fall color is considered by many as the 'creme de la creme' of global offerings and continental color is featured in photography this month from north to south.
Honshin Fine Art presents Symbols of the Soul featuring the work of Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin and other gallery artists including Paul Wisdom's Prayer Wheels. Join them for their celebrated "Poetry on the Porch" at 7:30 p.m.
Join James Ratliff Gallery in greeting a Sedona favorite, artist Cary Henrie, as his latest work is unveiled in Arcs and Organics. Henrie will present a short talk at 6pm and will be available throughout the evening to talk with guests.
Lanning Gallery opens its 30th Anniversary Celebration to honor artists who have been with the gallery since the beginning and all those talented artists who've come to the gallery since then. Through Oct.16.
Lark Art invites you to join us as we celebrate 'From the Land Beneath the Big Sky. . . The Zany, Whimsical Critters of Ann Bishop'. From a gregarious goat to a magical owl to a reflective rabbit, Ann captures the spirits of the animals she paints. Please drop by and be dazzled by Ann's enchanting menagerie.
Mountain Trails Gallery at Tlaquepaque presents 'Birds of A Feather: Adele

Rowe Gallery showcases oil painter Larisa Aukon was recognized in her native Latvia as a child prodigy when she was just 12 years old. She has lived in Arizona for the past 20 years, and Friday she will be at Rowe Fine Art Gallery, debuting up to 10 new paintings featuring landscapes and horses. Rowe Fine Art Gallery is located under the historic bell tower at Tlaquepaque.
