The National Theatre of London continues its season with its acclaimed new production of “The Lehman Trilogy” showing in Sedona on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m.
The Sedona International Film Festival hosts the big-screen premiere at its Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
“The Lehman Trilogy” is the story of a family and a company that changed the world, told in three parts on a single evening.
Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) directs Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles who play the Lehman Brothers, their sons and grandsons.
On a cold September morning in 1844 a young man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside. Dreaming of a new life in the new world. He is joined by his two brothers and an American epic begins. 163 years later, the firm they establish – Lehman Brothers – spectacularly collapses into bankruptcy, and triggers the largest financial crisis in history.
“The Lehman Trilogy” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15, or $12.50 for Film Festival members. Tickets are available in advance at the Sedona International Film Festival office or by calling 928-282-1177 or online at SedonaFilmFestival.org. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona.
