Obituary: Ann Bartsch, 1947 -2019

Ann Bartsch

Ann Bartsch

Ann Bartsch was born in 1947 in Dallas, Texas, and died on Sept.27, 2019, in Rimrock, Arizona.

Young Ann was a compliant daughter, an attentive church member, and an excellent student. She tried hard to be good but found herself unable to stop certain sins of the tongue, such as lying and harshness.

Her conscience correctly warned her that she deserved God’s judgment forever in hell, but all efforts to improve herself failed. When she met Jesus at age 27, her life was dramatically transformed.

She learned that Jesus’ death completely atoned for all her sins, and that His resurrection meant she too could “walk in newness of life.”

Released from guilt and reconciled to God, Ann now loved to pray, feed her soul with the Bible, and tell other people how they too could be rescued simply by turning from their sin and trusting in Jesus alone as the source of their acceptability before God.

Burdened by physical suffering for over half her life, she nevertheless ministered to people around the world via the Internet. Now freed from her frail body, she can undistractedly enjoy and serve the One whom she loves.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She leaves behind her sister, Linda, and brother, John; her husband of 43 years, Ward; her sons, Brent (Catherine), and Daniel; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many “adopted” sons and daughters around the world.
