The Town of Clarkdale’s municipal building, which houses the Public Works Administration and Utility Billing office and the Community Development office, gets its tile roof removed by the Public Works staff on Wednesday in the main intersection of town. This building was originally built in 1926 and was the original home of the US Post Office, explained Maher Hazine, P.E, director of Public Works.
The Current roof structure is more than 50 years old. They are taking the current roof apart and rebuilding it to replace deteriorating substructure that has become a hazard, he said. Last year, the town replaced the roof of the Clark Memorial Building including the auditorium, Hazine said. VVN/Vyto Starinskas
