Camp Verde School Board to discuss online schooling, 6 p.m. Tuesday

CAMP VERDE — At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Camp Verde School Board will meet in the district’s multi-use complex library, 280 Camp Lincoln Road.

Although board members may attend either in person or by telephone, video, or internet conferencing, the public is encouraged to attend via Zoom.us.

The district’s governing board will discuss the future of online schooling and will discuss ideas for “incentivizing (and) motivating students who attend school online,” according to the board’s April 13 agenda. This item is not an action item, meaning this item is for discussion only.

The Camp Verde School Board will consider increasing pay for cafeteria staff working during summer hours for COVID-19 intervention programs.

Jodi Young, the district’s director of food service, has requested an additional $5 an hour for part-time employees, an additional $7 an hour for full-time employees “to work the duration of summer school.”

“Working during the summer will go over and beyond my employees’ work agreement,” Young said in a statement included in the district governing board’s April 13 agenda packet.

The Camp Verde School Board meets. the second Tuesday of each month in the district’s multi-use complex library.
