Senate votes to increase number of supervisors in Maricopa, Pima counties
By a 15-13 margin Tuesday, the Arizona Senate gave preliminary approval to expand the size of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors from five to nine. SB 1498 also would boost the size of the Pima board, but only to seven. The measure still needs a final roll-call vote in the Senate before going to the House. File photo
