Judge rules Arizona can't penalize Flagstaff over its minimum wage

This 2016 file photo shows a state worker brings boxes to the elections office at the Arizona Capitol in Phoenix. The boxes contained more than 270,000 signatures from a group that pushed for $12 an hour minimum wage by 2020. A judge ruled Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, that the state can't take more than $1.1 million from Flagstaff as a financial penalty for the city having its own minimum wage, at least not now. (Ross D.
