VV schools get ready for post-season
The Mingus Union High School baseball team won its last home game on Senior Night on Friday, 9-7 over the American Leadership Academy. Congratulations to seniors Jan Alvarez #22, Zach Harrison #12, Anthony Rivera #24, Ryan Shamberger #2, Eduardo Carrasco, #11 Addison LaCaire, and #17 Angelo Alvarez #14. Ranked 23rd in 4A, the team is 9-9 after a road loss Monday in the season finale. They play at Vista Grande Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the play-in bracket in hopes of reaching the championship bracket.
