Another successful year for Sedona Village Partnership
Founded in 2012, with a membership of 67 individual, organization and business partners, Sedona Village Partnership initiates, sponsors and co-sponsors community forums, events, and fundraising efforts.
So far this year, we have co-sponsored the Community BBQ in May, recognized the extraordinary service to the community of John and Nikki Ramagli with our Annual Shining Star Award at our Partner Full Moon Party in September, and with the Sedona Public Library trustees, co-sponsored Novel Night, a fundraiser for the Village Library in October.
In collaboration with the Big Park Council, we are co-sponsoring the Art in the Roundabouts project and we made a financial contribution to the Council’s Emergency Preparedness Plan Committee for operational expenses.
During the holiday season, Sedona Village Partnership co-sponsored Community Holiday Caroling at the Arts Academy of Sedona on Nov. 28-29 and is co-sponsoring Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 4, 8-10 a.m. at the Village Chophouse, and Laugh-In the New Year on Dec. 31, 5 and 8 p.m. also at the Village Chophouse. Each of these venues are located in The Collective Sedona.
Under the leadership of board colleague Gwen Hanna, this year the board embarked upon the development of a three-year strategic plan. We first met for a half-day session in April with two shorter follow up sessions in May and June. A draft of the strategic plan was reviewed at our board meeting in August and was formally adopted at our most recent meeting on Nov. 3. The plan has a flexible structure that can be modified to allow Sedona Village Partnership to respond to emerging community needs.
Also, at the November board meeting, we elected officers for 2023. Camille Cox was elected as president along with Omar Kenney who will continue as secretary and David Gill who will again serve as treasurer. The remainder of our board is composed of Dave Norton, Gwen Hanna, Judy Poe, Danielle Giann, and Damian Bruno.
With 2023 clearly on the horizon, we look forward to continuing to serve the Village. We are guided by our vision of striving to be “A healthy, thriving, and connected community.”
