Community helps injured officer during recovery
Cars lined up for a car wash and fry bread sale to benefit injured Yavapai-Apache Police Sgt. Preston Brogdon on Saturday at the Conoco gas station on State Route 260 in Camp Verde. Classic cars cheered up the atmosphere, and volunteers walked down the row of cars collecting donations from the drivers with no set amount. (Photo courtesy Paulette Zemaitis English)
