1939 - 2023
Jerry Robert Hendler of Cornville Arizona, passed away on Aug. 12, on his 84th birthday. He was born on Aug. 12, 1939 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
Out of high school, Jerry joined the Navy Airborne Early Warning Squadron. After completing his service, he attended and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master’s degree in Engineering on the G.I. Bill.
After college, Jerry worked for many technology companies before landing at Xerox where he spent 30 years as head of the MCSE, Data Management and Analytics.
In 1986, Jerry met Diane Alaimo at a gathering at the clubhouse in their mutual condominium complex. They married two years later and were together for 30 years until his death. Jerry loved gardening, model trains, woodworking, and his loyal dog, Lincoln.
Jerry was predeceased by his granddaughter Ciera Reehil. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Diane, his children and stepchildren Sherry, Brian, Diana and Laurelyn, their spouses, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, Arizona on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. Private burial to follow with immediate family afterward.
