Piero Grimalda
1928 - 2023
Piero Grimalda, a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, passed away at 95 in Cottonwood, Arizona. Born in 1928 in Visinada, Italy, he escaped forced labor during WWII, later graduating from the Technical Institute A Volta in Trieste.
In 1954, Piero joined family in Arizona after serving in the Air Force across the globe. Piero leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and family values.
Piero is survived by his wife Guia, children Justus and Stella, and two grandchildren.
Piero was a dedicated gardener, a builder of homes, and a member of multiple military associations.
Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Grey Rd., in Cottonwood on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ in Phoenix on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
