A Turn Too Far

Another semi-truck got stuck on this hairpin turn on State Route 89A on Mingus Mountain on Monday, Jan 30, 2023, at about 3:30 p.m. after the wheels went off the road. About 300 trucks a year are being turned around are going through Jerome, according to Jerome Police, but this truck didn’t make it that far. Trucks or any vehicles that are longer than 50-feet bumper-to-bumper are banned form the Historic highway over the mountain.
