VERDE HERITAGE: 1937 UVX smelter at Clemenceau closes
UVX Smelter Complex: Dominating the landscape was the brick stack built on top of Smokestack Hill. It was 425 feet high and 30 feet in diameter at the base, making it the largest in the world.
