Verde Heritage: Redlight Districts closed March 1, 1918
Redlight District “cribs” on Hull Avenue were visited by police officers who informed each occupant that she must quit instantly. Landlords who leased “cribs” or rooms to the girls were notified that they would face a term in the federal penitentiary if they rented property used for harboring prostitutes.
