CyberTip leads to arrest over child porn
COTTONWOOD — A 75-year-old Cottonwood man is accused of three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after an investigation May 10.
According to the Cottonwood Police Department, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a CyberTip containing nine images of child pornography that had been downloaded from an IP address in Cottonwood.
That address was linked to the physical address of Paul Kirchheiner.
CPD obtained a search warrant for that location, subsequently collecting a computer and cell phone. CPD claims there were “additional pornographic images of underage persons” discovered during the search.
Kirchheiner was arrested and booked at into the Yavapai County jail. Sexual exploitation of a minor is a Class 2 felony.
According to CPD, more charges may come out of the ongoing investigation. Initial information was filed in the Verde Valley Justice Court.
