Smoke continued through the week
Did you smell the sunset this past week? The orange color on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, was filtered smoke from the prescribed burns by the forest service on the other side of Mingus Mountain. Fire managers ignitions on the Blackline RX Fire on Mingus Mountain planned to burn 600 acres Thursday, with smoke expected to linger through Sunday. (VVN/Vyto Starinskas)
