Grab your friends and family and head over to the 36th annual Made in Clarkdale Artist Showcase at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse from Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
Local artist Shelley Edwards says she is thrilled for this year’s event.
“I really look forward to it every year,” Edwards said. “It’s really a highlight of the holiday season for me.”
The event will feature over 40 local artists and their work, with five new artists this year.
“People can find a wide variety from paintings to ceramics to jewelry to sculptures to wind chimes, really anything,” said. “The only people that allowed to have their art in the show is locals of the community. It’s really special showcasing the artists.”
Marsha Foutz, a ceramic artist, is one of the Made in Clarkdale Artist Showcase original founding members. For the past 36 consecutive years, Marsha has showcased her artwork at this event.
“I make ceramic sculptures and functional ceramics pieces,” Foutz said. “This year, I’m doing a sculptural piece based on dogs. I had a golden retriever puppy inspire me.”
The show will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, staying open until 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. From 5-7 p.m. on Friday, entertainment and light beverages will be provided. Music will be provided from 3-5 p.m. daily.
The annual Made in Clarkdale Artist Showcase will be located at Ninth and Main Street in the Clarkdale Town Center. For more information, visit MadeInClarkdale.org.
