Rotary exchange students embark on an unforgettable Sedona adventure
Hosted by Jennette and David Bill of the Rotary Club of Sedona Village, an exciting and enriching weekend unfolded for 14 international exchange students, sponsored by Rotary Clubs from all corners of Arizona.
These dynamic young individuals hail from diverse nations, including France, Ecuador, Denmark, Brazil, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Japan, Thailand, Chile and Sweden. As part of the Rotary Exchange Program, these students are set to embark on a transformative journey, each spending an entire school year in Arizona.
In a reciprocal spirit, students from Arizona will also have the opportunity to visit Rotary families in countries across the globe.
A standout highlight of their Sedona visit was an excursion to Slide Rock State Park to play and participate in a service project. Here, against the backdrop of Sedona’s awe-inspiring natural beauty, the students experienced the joy of harvesting dozens of apples destined for local food banks from the historic orchards originally planted by Sedona’s pioneering settlers.
The Rotary Club of Sedona Village is committed to promoting international goodwill and cultural exchange and was thrilled to host these enthusiastic young ambassadors of friendship. This memorable weekend not only fostered lasting friendships but also showcased the shared values of Rotary worldwide.
