Mountain Trails Gallery Sedona at Tlaquepaque is delighted to present Cody DeLong and Susie Hyer, two of the gallery’s dynamic artists, as they give painting demonstrations on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12 – 3 p.m. Gather around as these energetic artists build a canvas from the beginning to the end and share their process along the way. Both artists are award-winning painters who are intrepid hikers, climbers, and travelers and are outdoor enthusiasts active in gathering colorful landscape visuals, often from uncommon and intriguing angles. Both artists have a strong connection to Sedona and especially the Grand Canyon with all its changing atmospheric conditions where light and shadow, color and drama take center stage.

The painting demonstrations are a part of the Village of Tlaquepaque’s Día De Los Muertos celebration (10/28 – 11/1). Mountain Trails Gallery kicks off their own festivities the day before on Friday, Oct. 27, continuing on Saturday, October 28th and invites all art enthusiasts to join the conversation while both Colorado artist Susie Hyer and Portugal artist Cody DeLong will be taking questions about their techniques and their life as an artist.
