2024 has arrived and with it, Jerome’s initial First Saturday Art and Wine Walk of the year. Join us this Saturday, Jan. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. to explore the community once known as the 'Wickedest Town in the West' as we celebrate the New Year. Over 30 unique galleries, art studios, and specialty shops will be participating, along with seven Arizona wine tasting rooms, our traditional western saloons, and a fine array of restaurants. A free shuttle will be provided.
Musical performers will include Lionel Estrada, joining us from the Phoenix area, performing at the Jerome Artist Cooperative. He plays an eclectic mix of songs from Americana to blues, to classic rock to alternative rock, to country, and an occasional gospel tune, mixing in a good assortment of his original tunes. He’s excited to return to Jerome to start the year. Shane Zen will be joining us from Prescott. He will be at the Cornish Pasty Company on Clark Street. He incorporates fun covers with his original material and has been busy performing regularly throughout the region.
It promises to be another fun and exciting year in Jerome. The town was founded in 1876, in time for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the United States, making it an official 'Centennial Community.' Jerome was incorporated in 1899, making 2024 the town’s 125th birthday year, which we will celebrate all year, with a special event in March. Plan to join us.
We hope to see you Saturday, and may 2024 be a healthy, happy, and prosperous year for one and all!
