The federal judge who refused last week to block the activities of those watching drop boxes agreed Monday to give another group a chance to convince him to restrain their actions.

An attorney for Protect Democracy Project is demanding that Yavapai County groups drop their plans to watch ballot drop boxes, claiming it likely violates both state and federal law.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is aware of plans by a conservative group calling itself “the Lions of Liberty” to “box watch” voters at ballot drop boxes outside polling places during the upcoming General Election.
