2018 Clarkdale-Jerome School's Meet the Teachers

Though classes at Clarkdale-Jerome School started on Thursday, children, their parents and interested community members visited the school Wednesday afternoon to meet their teachers, find out which classroom is theirs, and meet other community groups. The Clarkdale-Jerome community donated more than $30,000 in parts and labor this summer for the purchase and installation of new bleachers at the soccer field at Clarkdale-Jerome School, according to District Superintendent Danny Brown. Mark Tufte, vice president and manager of Country Bank in Cottonwood, was one of the community’s donators for the project. Tufte, also an AYSO soccer coach, said Wednesday that each of the 32 new metal benches should seat approximately 14 people, which means there are about 450 seats available for the community to watch events at the field. Besides Country Bank of Cottonwood, the following community businesses and organizations also contributed to the project: Sherwin Williams, Pro Build, Benchmark Builders, Cactus Flooring, Clarkdale Police Department, Barnworks Fabrication, Backus Building Companies, Town of Clarkdale, Verde Valley Rotary Club, AYSO Soccer 232, Hale’s Roofing.
